Synopsis

This is a real-world, retrospective, observational, case-series study of patients using radiofrequency ablation (RFA) for chronic knee pain. Data so far has been collected from 68 patients (79 procedures in total). A baseline mean pain score of 7.42 ± 2.2 was reported. The proportion of responsive patients with >30% pain relief at post-initial procedure and at last follow-up was 79% and 53%, respectively. Results demonstrate that improvement in outcomes with the use of traditional, thermal RFA can be successfully achieved in patients with chronic knee pain.
