Synopsis

This prospective, multicenter, post-market feasibility study characterized the efficacy and energy use of a stimulation pattern designed using the principles of DTM SCS with modifications to better understand energy requirements. Enrolled subjects were already-implanted with a rechargeable neurostimulation system, consistent with commercial labeling, and then programmed to a DTM stimulation pattern with a reduced-energy profile. Outcomes will include 3-month Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS) scores, patient satisfaction, and energy use calculations. Reduced-energy DTM SCS has the potential to impact patient experience with rechargeable devices and to benefit patients best suited for recharge-free devices.
